EA SPORTS will soon be getting gamers ready for the upcoming launch of FIFA 23, although the official details on the next installment of the series are slim, some leaks have surfaced already.
When FIFA 22 was released, there was a lot of people said that the franchise would become free to play, cross-platform and even including an online career mode.
While there are still plenty of changes, from the reorganization of the FUT Champions Weekend League to the launch of new content for Player’s Career, there’s still a lack of the landmark changes we’ve just noticed.
So, this begs the question: will FIFA 23 push things into a new direction? Let’s take a look at everything leaked so far.
FIFA 23 cross-platform game leaked
According to the insider Tom Henderson, EA SPORTS will add full cross-platform play in FIFA 23.
On February 28, Henderson revealed some leaked plans for the upcoming launch. Unlike previous games where even players of the same console series such as the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, cannot play together, yet FIFA 23 will have full cross-platform play this time, according to the leaks.
This means that PlayStation, Xbox and PC players will be able to take the same approach like never before. The leak could represent a huge change in how the Ultimate Team marketplace works and how Pro Clubs works, allowing you to sign up people from other platforms.
FIFA 23 free to play?
For a long time, EA SPORTS has been rumored to be preparing FIFA 23 as the first free-to-play game in the series, and this speculation began with FIFA 22’s launch.
Several popular traders and leakers have reported the possibility of the next headline being free, as seen in a post by DonkTrading on July 17, 2021:
“EA has not commented publicly on this leak, and as it dates back to July 2021, there is a chance that plans may have changed.”
Of course, the buzz within the FIFA community started when a free-to-play game called UFL was released, which could rival the juggernaut franchise.
